Prerequisites
Install the PowerConnect ABAP, Java, or Cloud add-on in the required SAP systems.
Configure your SAP environment to send data to Dynatrace by following the instructions in each of the provided guides.
Create a support ticket with Dynatrace to increase the log metric definition limit to 1,000 (original default is 100 definitions). This is needed to ensure that all metrics are able to operate without exceeding the limit.
Installation Guide
Go to the Dynatrace Hub.
Search for “PowerConnect”
Click “Set Up” at the bottom right corner.
Once the PowerConnect add-on for SAP is sending data to your Dynatrace environment, the extension should automatically begin generating entities and metrics!
Post-Installation Configuration (Managed/On-Prem Only)
Go to Settings
Under Log Monitoring, click on “Custom Attributes”
Add the following custom attributes and click “Save Changes”:
