MSS_DB02_MEMORY
Data Description
The MSS_DB02_MEMORY event is used in SAP to view overall database performance for a Microsoft SQL database.
Potential Use Cases
This event can be leveraged for various scenarios, including:
Identify anomalies such as sudden drops in free memory.
Trigger alerts when physical memory or page file usage exceed predefined thresholds.
Correlate memory metrics with SQL performance logs to detect and resolve bottlenecks.
SAP Navigation
Log into the managed system and execute the dbacockpit transaction code. Then go to the Performance menu on the left side of the screen and expand the options, and double-click the Memory section.
The information from the Memory Overview tab will match the data extracted and sent to Splunk. Server cache and hit ratio details are already included in the performance overview event, so they are excluded from this event.
