PowerConnect Java 8.3.0 Release Notes

Overview

PowerConnect for Java 8.3.0 release. Install the SCA package using SUM or telnet.

Version 7.x and 8.x only supports SAP Netweaver 7.5 systems. For older versions of SAP Netweaver please use version 6.9.0.

Added trace_id field to pi_message, application_trace_log and default_trace_log events to simpify correlation
Track event count and size by event type as a metrics to simplify usage reporting
Added dark mode option to PowerConnect Java UI
Display various endpoint metrics in PowerConnect Java UI including response times and errors
DSR extractor has a new alternate method of collection using the local api (beta). This is not enabled by default.
PI message extractor has a new alternate method of collection using the local api (beta). This is not enabled by default.

PowerConnect Java agent health metrics are now reset each day at midnight local time
The pi_message payload field has been renamed to payload_staged for Dynatrace destinations to avoid conflict with Dynatrace’s internal field names
Additional JMX metrics which a required for the Java Overview dashboard are now included as default as part of new installations

Message Server metrics extractor sometimes creates a permission denied log entry in the default trace log due to a regression bug, this has been fixed
A corrupt license key can cause the PowerConnect Java agent to fail to start correctly, this has been fixed
