TAANA - Table data Analysis
Data Description
The TAANA event is used to monitor the table entries. The number of entries can be total entries or the number of entries can be assigned to the selected fields (for example, periods or organizational units)
Potential Use Cases
This event could be used in the following scenarios:
To count the total number of entries in a table and find table data growth over some time.
To analyze the distribution of table entries to the selected fields. For example, the table VBAK contains sales document headers for sales data. By using table analysis we can find how many entries are related to a particular Salles organization and/or a Sales Area.
Can help to predict table growth and also plan database disk memory accordingly.
Can be used to send an alert if unusual data growth has been detected for a table.
